Keira Sorenson, a senior at Fresno Central High in California, placed second in the Division 3 girls final at the Central Section Championships by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 19:13.39 at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. Sorenson helped Central take 11th place as a team with 301 points, advancing to race Nov. 25 at the CIF State Cross Country Championships at Woodward Park.
