Kaitelyn Emmons, a senior at Clovis North High in California, secured sixth place in the Division 1 girls final at the Central Section Championships by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 18:45.26 at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. Emmons helped Clovis North place runner-up as a team by a 15-61 margin against Buchanan High, advancing to race Nov. 25 at the CIF State Cross Country Championships at Woodward Park.
